Believe it or not, I have the ability to fall down a hill with a piece of plastic-coated wood strapped to my feet, and make it look reasonably intentional.

You might be a Redneck if…

In the wonderous month of February, in the splendid year 2006, we of Aylesbury Grammar School did venture unto the mysterious mormon state of Utah, to explore mountains white and powder deep, and generally catch some air.

Yay, for we did catch a plane at a god-awful time in the morning and fly on carbon fibre wings to the New World, and capture a glimpse of stunning vistas, traverse white-blanketed forests and eat shit heartily where edges were caught.

I, Captain Faceplant, took it upon myself to use my magical camera box to trap pockets of beauty, danger and sheer ugliness in order to show you.

Put in a less flowery/medieval way, I went snowboarding in Utah with my school, and photos are here! Unfortunately, thanks to the low temperatures, my lens cover froze for some of the higher altitude pictures, and there’s a black triangle in the top right-hand corner. As for the poor quality of the photographs, I have an extremely unsteady hand, I’m afraid to say.

Unto Pastures Great I Venture

I was in South Park, honestly. And so, here I am again, faced with nuclear disaster.

I am have a new skin! I think it looks a lot better than the the one I was using before, That Vista Blog, which despite being attractive, wasn’t very good for using WordPress as a CMS as I have now begun to do. Since the change, you can find the different sections at the top of the page, which at present comprises of Friends and Coding. The Friends page was there before, and I might actually finish it soon enough, perhaps expanding into an individual page for each of my beloved amigos, but as you all well know, I’m very lazy.

The Coding section will contain snippets of code and software downloads which I have made/require input with. All of the stuff will be open source/GPL, unless I have a valid license to sell it, and people would actually buy it.

On the map for me at the moment is my Physics presentation next Friday, which will undoubtedly be a hellish experience. I have to stand up in front of my class in our school’s lecture theatre, and do a presentation about the physical properties of the materials involved in snowboards. Then, they will all ask me questions about it. I mean, what the fuck do I know about it? I wrote most of it when I was ill! And it’s all from Wikipedia! Whatever, I’m sure I’ll fail miserably. At least I can look forward to snowboarding in the evening with Will and Dan, in preparation for our trip to Utah at February half term. It’ll be a helluva trip, expect photos.
